3 Tips to Stay Consistent

Good morning

Welcome back to another Motive Monday with Edward O'connor. Today we're are going to talk about being consistent. Arguably this might be the number 1 secret to success, is being consistent. It does not matter what your expertise. If you are not consistent with that activity you will never be a great success at it. My passion is painting, I don't know if you realized that by now haha, but I paint at least 6 days a week, on the off day I am working on the business aspect of my art. If I was not consistent with my art I would not be where I am today and I would not be able to hit the level of success I see in the future. Side note, I would say it is 10x easier to stay consistent doing something you actually love as opposed to something you have to do.

3 Tips to staying consistent

1) Keep your eye on the prize In other words stay focussed on your goal. Take a seat and focus on your goal, your reason for what your doing and why your doing it. Write it down and review it every morning when you wake up and before you go to bed. This is your goal and having a strong enough goal will keep you motivated and focused through the ruff foggy periods of your life.

2) Schedule it

Don't start your day rushing out the bed to quickly eat breakfast, send to the kids to school, and off to work, all day thinking, "when is a good time to work on my goal?" You are guaranteed to fail that way. Remember if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Every wildly success person schedules their time, the night before, the week before, sometimes, months or even years. You must be able schedule some time where you are not available to the world. This is your time to work on your dream and that could only happen if you schedule it.

3) Don't listen to that doubt in your head

Whenever you take part in a new activity that either puts you out your comfort zone, challenging, a change from the regular routine, just know there will be some doubt in your head. IGNORE that! Don't get caught up on the negative vide that I can't do it, I don't want to do it, what are people going to think. Just do what you need to do and move on. This is how you grow and eventually evolve into the person that you were always meant to be.
